1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1. By creating an account, accessing, or using Spindle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of these Terms and Conditions.

1.2. Spindle reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will become effective from the date they are published on the platform. Your continued use of the service after the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

1.3. If there are significant changes to the Terms and Conditions, we will provide notification via email or in-platform notification.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" — The Spindle website and application accessible via a browser.
• "Service" — All features, functions, and content provided by Spindle, including but not limited to project management, character creation, story structuring, note-taking, and manuscript writing.
• "User" — Any individual registered and holding an account on Spindle.
• "User Content" — Any material created, uploaded, or stored by the User within the platform.
• "Project" — The primary unit for managing writing works on Spindle, which includes story structure, characters, notes, and manuscripts.

3. User Eligibility

3.1. You must be at least 13 years old to use Spindle services. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian.

3.2. By creating an account, you warrant that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.

3.3. Users are allowed to have more than one account. However, you are fully responsible for all accounts you create and all activities that occur under them. Spindle reserves the right to suspend or delete any account used for purposes contrary to these Terms and Conditions.

4. User Accounts

4.1. Registration. To use Spindle services, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a secure password.

4.2. Account Security. You are fully responsible for the security of your account, including keeping your password confidential.

4.3. Breach Notification. You must immediately notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or other security breaches.

5. Use of Services

5.1. Permitted Use. Spindle is designed as a creative writing tool. You may use the service to create projects, structure stories, build character profiles, write manuscripts, and organize notes.

5.2. Prohibited Use. You are prohibited from using Spindle to upload unlawful content, hack, use bots, abuse the service for spam, or use the service for commercial purposes unrelated to creative writing without written permission.

6. User Content and Intellectual Property

6.1. Content Ownership. You retain all intellectual property rights to the User Content you create on Spindle. Your stories, characters, manuscripts, notes, and all your creative works belong entirely to you.

6.2. License to Spindle. By storing User Content on the platform, you grant Spindle a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Spindle respects your privacy. We use your data solely to provide the services and will never sell your personal data to third parties.
